Must Do Activities In Costa Rica

Costa Rica is one of those countries where I just love to visit again and again. The beaches are awesome, the food is out of this world, the volcanos are magnanimous and the activities and adventures are simply endless. There are just so much to do in this beautiful country! And with all the luxurious Costa Rica rentals, relaxing in between the intense adventures and lonesome hikes is just so glamorous!

I mean, what more can you ask from a vacation?!

The luxury beachfront vacation rentals let you relax while enjoying a panoramic view of the beautiful beaches of Costa Rica. And when you get tired of the view, just head outside and you’ll be swiped away with a range of activities in which you can indulge in. And when I say a range of activities, I do not speak lightly. There are plenty of activities to do there, from hiking to trekking (in Monteverde forests) to surfing to snorkeling to wildlife watching to fishing (with the help of Los Suenos fishing charters)… the possibilities are endless. In fact, there are so many things to do in this country, that even deciding what to do and what not to do can make one feel dizzy. So just to make your life a little bit easier, here are few of the activities which you must try out when you are enjoying your vacation in Costa Rica.

Visit Tortuguero National Park

This is one of the most known places to visit in Costa Rica. This park is an insanely important breeding ground for the endangered green turtles. If you visit the park at night, you can see the turtles laying eggs on the beach. Visit the park by boat to see the varied wildlife the park boasts of, from manatees, turtles, howler monkeys, crocodiles to different species of birds. Also, remember to explore the gentle and peaceful town while you are there.

Visit one of the volcanos

The volcanoes are one of the top tourist attractions of Costa Rica, along with the beaches of course. Visiting Costa Rica and not having a close encounter with one of these volcanos will be a crime, per se. Among the 6 active and nearly 50 inactive volcanos of the country, Arenal is the most famous and the most visited volcano here. It used to erupt almost daily till 2010, but since then it has entered a resting period. The Irazu volcano is famous for the incredible greenish blue lake in one of its craters, and the Poas Volcano has a boiling acid lake in one crater. Poas also had its largest eruption in many years this year in 2017. You must visit any of this beautiful volcanos while you are in Costa Rica to enjoy the thrill of having a close encounter with one of these monsters.

Zip-line through the rainforest

Apparently, most of the activities in a rainforest happen in the top 10%. So you will be missing out on a lot of action if you just take a hike through these dense forests. Go on a zip-line tour through the rainforest’s canopy instead, and you will get to see a whole new world of wildlife open up in front of your eyes.

Visit La Paz Waterfall Gardens

La Paz is famous for its waterfalls, and a trip to see these beauties is a must while you are in Costa Rica. You’ll also get to explore its hummingbird garden and butterfly garden; and see various reptiles, jungle cats and monkeys while you are here.

Relax on the beaches

Well, this is a bit obvious, isn’t it? You won’t be able to enjoy Costa Rica’s beautiful vibes until and unless you visit its beaches. There are plenty of activities and water sports to take part in, but the best way to enjoy the true beauty of Costa Rica is just by relaxing at one of the beautiful beaches you find in this country.
